The GREEN ECONOMICS

Cap and Trade and The Carbon Tax

(Opinion/Research)

Another reason it's a good thing Trump won:

This is gonna sound creepy. However, what was once creepy is now reality.

I remember when 'Cap and Trade' was brought in by the Green Energy people and they convinced corporate America they were leaving a 'Carbon Footprint' based on the pollution they produced. Then they were able to buy credits and or pay a tax. Then years later Obama, who was a Green Energy guru and wasted a lot of money on Green Energy, started touting a possible 'tax' on HUMANS for simply breathing  ... because of what we exhale. Personally,  I figured how will they track it, and IT WON'T FLY.

So fast forward to the Pandemic. There were Doctors and Scientists that were censored who said the COVID VACCINE had metallic that could track us. Last Summer a group of Scientists released a report that revealed 19 undisclosed ingredients were in the vaccine. 11 were metallic.

Now let's fast forward to the beginning of the Biden/Harris Administration. Janet Yellin, the Treasury Secretary, told banks not to do business with the oil companies unless it was necessary because the BANKS would also be graded on their 'Carbon Footprint'. See, she is not an economist at HEART. She is an activist in the HEAD. Biden told his entire cabinet that whatever policies were implemented had to have CLIMATE CHANGE at the forefront.

Let's sidetrack to currency. Now, the current Government has been trying to digitize the currency for whatever reasons. They mainly want to know what you buy, and track your CARBON FOOTPRINT purchases such as GAS, GUNS, DONATIONS, and whatever else is personal to you. They can also have the ability to control what you buy as well as shut you down, like Canada did the Truckers.

So, I'm listening to a Podcast this morning and a guy explains that in several countries, like Sweden and Australia, they're testing out a debit card that tracks what you buy based on a CARBON FOOTPRINT. And a possible CARBON TAX would be applied. So, if you can't afford MEAT, buy BUGS like Bill Gates suggested. BTW, Kamala Harris suggested that our consumption of meat should be regulated and lowered. Thank God we dodged that 'BULLET' ... [NO PUN, JUST FACTS].

I'm not crazy, THEY ARE. I simply read it and listen.

"Don't tell me that I'm crazy, don't tell me I'm nowhere ... tell'em boys ... It's Hip to be square!" ~ Huey Lewis and THE NEWS!!!

Superfoods to Stomp out a Cold

Superfoods to Stomp out a Cold

Not only do healthy, nutrient-dense foods nourish your body and help the cells grow and reproduce, they also help arm your body’s defenses to ward off attacks from germs that cause colds. Low-fat meats, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and whole grains all play a part in preparing your body to do battle.

Another important component of your anti-cold defense system is water. When your body is dehydrated, it’s at an increased risk of germs latching on and not letting go. So be sure to drink plenty of water and decaffeinated drinks to help your body stay hydrated and ready.

Just one cup of yogurt a day may work to keep the gastrointestinal track healthier, which can help ward off colds. It has to be yogurt with live cultures, as this is the key ingredient that helps keep the GI track ready to rumble. And an added bonus to eating yogurt - recent studies suggest regular dairy consumption helps you lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

Garlic contains allicin, an antibiotic that has been shown to prevent complications from a cold in some research. Garlic can be added to many of your favorite dishes to spice them up and help you suit up to do battle against cold germs.

It’s been said an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Well, so can an orange. One orange a day provides your recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. Oranges are also abundant in flavonoids, which helps your body’s cells regenerate and stay healthy and strong. Green bell peppers are the vegetable family’s best vitamin C source. Add them to a salad, or simply slice one up and eat it raw. Flavonoids are also found in peppers. You may even want to prepare a green pepper dip seasoned with garlic for an added germ-kicking effect.

Lean ground beef, especially when prepared with a bit of garlic, can maintain cell health and fight off illness. It’s a good source of protein, selenium and zinc, and when eaten with a bit of tomato, is a great defense during cold season.

No New Wars Is Back!

 OPINION/COMMENTARY

'No New Wars' Is Back!

I hate to beat a dead horse, but damn ... and I voted for him TWICE. Looking back and examining history make you hate your decisions sometimes...RIGHT???

Barrack Obama is almost worth a BILLION. They say it is from Netflix and Book Deals. Look, there aren't enough LIBERALS alive to read that much nor have the attention span to watch that many Netflix Documentaries. He left the Whitehouse 30 times richer than he entered. So, let's water this mess down. They say he was working those deals out while in in office. WOW, Trump had to sign away everything to his kids.

Obama entered office while the country was fighting in 2 (TWO) Countries: Iraq and Afghanistan. When he left we were fighting in 7 Countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Lybia, Somalia, Yemen, and Pakistan. 85% of those killed were innocent civilians ... such as Women, Children, Goat Herders, etc. Most were drone strikes signed off by OBAMA. 'INTERCEPT MAGAZINE THE DRONE WARS' will explain it. The Military Industrial Complex is a 1 Trillion Dollar a year industry. If you authorize/let/allow it to happen you apparently get paid.

Trump advocated and still advocates to STOP ENDLESS WARS!!!

The 2020 effort by Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, amid the Covid-19 pandemic fueled conservative anger and distrust of the presidential election outcome.

How to Cook the Perfect Steak: An Awesome Recipe

How to Cook the Perfect Steak: An Awesome Recipe

Each American eats around 220 pounds (or more) of beef every single year. It’s a delicious meat that we can’t have often enough, but a poorly cooked steak is easy to pass up.

With such a beloved dish, it’s important to know how to treat your dinner guests to the perfect steak when they come over to your home. If your steaks never turn out the way you want, then now’s a good time to figure out what’s going wrong.

Listed down below are tips and tricks to help you learn how to cook the perfect steak. Plus, a recipe that’s great for beginners and masters alike!

Choosing the Right Steak

Even the best steak recipe won’t help if the steak itself isn’t the right one for the job. The first thing to look for in a steak is its grade level. The higher the grade, the better the steak, but it’s still possible to cook great steaks on a budget.

In the US, we have three types of grades:

  • Select – The lowest grade. These steaks are serviceable but the marbling and quality are not so good, making it tougher and less flavorful.
  • Choice – The medium grade. Choice grades have good marbling and flavor and are often the highest grade available in many supermarkets.
  • Prime – The highest grade. These are the top-quality steaks that we all dream about, but a lot of general supermarkets don’t even carry these beauties. Most often, you’ll need to go to a butcher for this grade.

Regardless of its USDA grade, always choose a steak that is firm with an even distribution of marbling. The color needs to be a bright pink color, and avoid anything that’s dark red.

Understanding Steak Temperatures

We all have different ideas as to what’s the perfect steak, but knowing how to cook each temperature is a huge asset. When a guest asks for a specific temperature, you want to serve them a steak they love.

While knowing the finger test is good for professionals, an instant thermometer is even better for accurate reads every time. Use the following list to help get the perfect doneness for all preferences:

  • Rare: 125º
  • Medium Rare: 135º
  • Medium: 145º
  • Medium Well: 150º
  • Well Done: 160º

Allow Time for Resting

It almost seems counter-intuitive to leave a hot steak covered to rest for any amount of time. The problem with skipping this step is that all of the natural juices that make for a flavorful steak are at the edges of the meat.

By allowing it to rest, you’re helping to redistribute those juices throughout the rest of the meat. This gives you the best flavor and texture every single time.

Always give your steak at least a few minutes of resting time before you dive in with high-quality cutlery, such as this modern knife set. It’s difficult to wait, but it’s well worth the effort!

Cater Your Seasonings

It’s easy to go overboard with seasonings. More seasoning seems like a good thing, at first, because it gives the steak more flavor.

For an even better result, it’s best to go with simple seasonings that allow the steak to speak for itself. You’re taking the time to cook a high-quality steak to perfection, why not have the flavor of the meat be the star of the meal?

Rubs and marinades are great for certain dishes, but most of the time, a simple seared steak is perfection, which is what our recipe is all about.

The Best Recipe for Simple Pan-Seared Steak

There are a lot of different ways to cook a steak that all result in a delicious meal. Before you dive into all of those different steak recipes, it’s a good idea to master the simplest version. The following is the best steak recipe to give you a lot of experience cooking steak while allowing you to experiment if you want.

Even if you never cook a steak in any other way, you’ll always have this method in your cooking toolbox. It’ll impress you (and your guests!) for many delicious years.

Ingredients:

  • Room temperature steak (1 to 1 ½ inch thick of your grade choice)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons garlic butter
  • Cast-iron skillet

Cooking Process:

  1. Make sure your steaks are at room temperature so that the outside cooks as soon as it touches the hot pan, creating a good sear. Take them out at least a half-hour before cooking.
  2. Start heating your skillet. A cast-iron skillet takes up to 10 minutes to heat up to the right temperature. Once it starts to smoke a little, it’s ready.
  3. Pat the steaks dry with some paper towels to get rid of excess moisture, then season with salt, coating both sides with a generous layer.
  4. Place the steaks into the hot pan, and leave them there for at least 1 minute or until a good crust forms. This is why there’s no oil in this recipe, as it’s not necessary and can hinder a proper sear.
  5. Once the crust is there, you’re able to flip the steak to the other side without it sticking. Cook the other side for 1 minute as well.
  6. Continue flipping between the two sides for another 4 minutes.
  7. Add in the garlic butter (use steak butter or regular butter if you prefer) and tilt your pan to one side to allow the melted butter to collect. Use a spoon to spread the buttery goodness over the steaks as it cooks, keeping the meat tender, juicy, and flavorful. Flip and repeat every minute or so.
  8. Continue cooking for another 6 minutes, at which time you’ll test for the doneness of the steak.
  9. Once it reaches your preferred temperature, take the steaks out, and allow them to rest for half the time they cooked.
  10. Enjoy with all of your favorite sides and sauces!

Cooking the Perfect Steak Only Takes a Little Practice

Trying to learn how to cook the perfect steak seems like a daunting task at first. Once you try it a few times, it becomes far easier and you’ll never worry about ruining an expensive piece of meat again.

Continue practicing and come back to this page whenever you need a refresher on tips and tricks. You’ll be a master at steaks in no time!

Superfoods for a Healthy Prostate

Superfoods for a Healthy Prostate

The prostate gland has a reputation as a health destroyer. Hypertrophy of the prostate gland, which affects nearly every elderly male, strangles the urethra. This troublesome condition makes urination difficult and increases the risk of bladder infections and kidney damage. However, there are many superfoods that may already be a part of your everyday diet that can help thwart the onset of prostate problems.

Tomatoes, watermelons, red grapefruit, papaya and red berries are all great sources of lycopene, a health-promoting plant pigment known for its cancer-battling ability. It also promotes a strong immune system and helps support prostate health in men. Though fresh are always an excellent option, the lycopene in cooked tomatoes is actually absorbed more readily by the body. It’s also your ally in the battle against heart disease.

Quercetin, a flavonoid that forms the backbone of many other flavonoids, may have positive effects in combating or helping to prevent many different types of cancer, including prostate. It also acts as an antihistamine and has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be helpful in relieving the pain of an inflamed prostate.

Foods rich in quercetin include apples, black & green tea, onions, raspberries, red wine, red grapes, citrus fruits, broccoli & other leafy green vegetables, and cherries. Quercetin can also be found in honey and sap, including the type from eucalyptus and tea tree flowers.

It’s important to remember to get a healthy balance of foods to keep your prostate healthy, including antioxidants, vitamin E from nuts and seeds, and drink plenty of clear fluids to help flush the bladder. Try to avoid caffeine, alcohol, and spicy foods. Keeping your weight in check will also help maintain a healthy prostate.

The Pros And Cons Of Beer

The Pros And Cons Of Beer

Although beer is a drink that contains alcohol, the alcohol alone doesn't make it dangerous to your health.  Drinking beer excessively is what leads to hangovers, headaches, and the more severe healthy problems.  If you drink beer in moderation and avoid getting drunk, you won't experience any problems with your health.

One of the most common things people say about beer, is that it makes you fat, hence the term 'beer belly'.  As a whole, beer contains little to no fat, and there are plenty of beer diets out there that you can use to stay thin.  The infamous beer belly is caused by consuming too much alcohol, which affects the body's ability to burn fat.  Even though beer can indeed lead to a 'beer belly' if you drink too much of it, if you drink in moderation you should be fine.

Even though beer is low in sugar, it can affect your blood sugar levels.  Beer contains alcohol, which can drop the natural level of sugar in your blood, leading to low energy levels.  If you drink too much beer, you'll get really tired and go right to sleep.  Alcohol in beer will also lower insulin levels as well, which makes it perfect for non diabetics, as it will reduce the risk of arteriosclerosis.

In the past, research has linked beer with reducing the risk for heart disease.  Beer contains no cholesterol, although it does have antioxidant qualities that can reduce LDL oxidation, with may help reduce your risk of heart disease.  Beer is also an excellent source of fiber, stemming from the malted barley.  Beer can also help to reduce stress, if you drink it in moderation.

To get the health benefits that beer provides, you should drink one beer a day.  You shouldn't drink any more than this, as it can easily lead to health problems.  Alcohol will thin out your blood, which will protect your heart and reduce the risk of strokes as well.  In the past, research has even shown moderate consumption of alcohol can help with improving your memory as well.  Then again, if you drink it excessively, it can destroy brain cells - the adverse effect.

Beer is also nutritious, although it can destroy your levels of vitamin C as well.  Beer is a great source of fiber, as well as other minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, and several B vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, and B12.  Beer contains high levels of these vitamins, along with other minerals that are actually good for your body.  Although it offers plenty of B vitamins and other minerals your body needs, it will also destroy your vitamin C - which is why you never want to drink too much of it.

When it all comes down to it, beer may contain over 95% water, yet it is still a diuretic.  Due to the fact that beer contains alcohol, it will always be a diuretic.  When you drink beer, you should avoid drinking too much and never, ever, drink beer instead of water.  Beer can dehydrate your body fairly quickly, which is one of the biggest cons to drinking beer.  Although beer does have several health benefits, they can easily be hindered by drinking too much.  To stay on the safe side and avoid headaches and other health effects of beer, you should always drink responsibly, never drink too much - and always drink a few glasses of water when you are drinking beer.
