Valentine's Day Gifts for Your Wife

Valentine's Day Gifts for Your Wife

Men who have been married for awhile may have a great deal of difficulty selecting gifts for their wives on Valentine's Day. They may feel as though they have spent so many Valentine's Days together that they have already bought their wives all of the standard gifts and may have trouble thinking up new and original gift ideas for Valentine's Day. They may have already bought their wives items such as flowers, candy, lingerie and jewelry and may feel as though repeating these gifts would not be appropriate. However, there are a lot of great gift ideas for men to give to their wives on Valentine's Day. This article will focus on how men can update some of the traditional gift ideas and will also provide some unique gift ideas for men to give their wives on Valentine's Day.

Candy is one of the most popular gifts for men to give to women on Valentine's Day. Men who have given their wives a gift of candy in the past may feel as though it would be inappropriate to give her candy again. However, this is not true. Candy is a gift which is almost always appreciated on Valentine's Day. There are ways to make candy seem like a more original gift though. Men who normally give their wives a gift of an assortment of chocolates in a heart shaped box can search for other candy options available. For example, they may find chocolate covered strawberries available in a number of unique designs. They can also make a gift of candy more original by making the candy themselves. Making candy is not difficult and can be a great deal of fun. While some women will always appreciate a gift of candy, she will be more surprised if you make the candy yourself because it shows you put more effort into the gift.

Jewelry is another popular gift idea for men to give to women on Valentine's Day. Men may feel as though once they give their wife a few pieces of jewelry, there is no way to continue giving jewelry. However, this is not true. For example if you previously gave your wife a solitaire ring you might consider giving her a new ring with three stones to reflect the past, the present and your future together. You might even consider having the solitaire ring modified to include the additional stones. You can also put a unique spin on gifts of jewelry by giving different stones or jewelry of different metals. However, when selecting a gift of jewelry for your wife on Valentine's Day care should be taken to choose items that reflect her taste so you are sure your wife will love the gift and want to wear it often.

If you and your wife have children and excellent gift idea for Valentine's Day is to present your wife with handmade coupons for free afternoons. You will take care of the kids during this time so your wife can go out and relax and enjoy some time to herself. Many women often feel guilty about leaving the children with their husbands to take time for themselves. This type of gift will make her more likely to take some time to get a manicure or do some shopping without feeling guilty because you will be volunteering to watch the kids so your wife will not feel like she is inconveniencing you by asking for some time to herself. You can make this type of gift even more special by giving your wife a gift certificate to a beauty salon so she can go to get her hair done or have a manicure and pedicure. You can also plan a special activity for the kids while she is gone. For example you might sit with the kids and have them make a gift for their mom while she is gone. This way your wife will have some free time and will also receive a homemade gift from her children.

Valentine's Day with Someone Special

Valentine's Day with Someone Special

For many Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days of the years. For these couples this day is as special as their personal anniversaries or other special days they celebrate throughout the year. Therefore, they often want to plan a very special and romantic Valentine's Day for them and their partner to enjoy. This article will provide some useful tips for those who will be spending Valentine's Day with someone who is very special to them and are looking for ideas on how to plan a memorable day.

First of all consider, planning your Valentine's Day celebration with your partner. Surprises are great and your partner may really appreciate your thoughtfulness and planning but one way to ensure your partner is thrilled with your plans for Valentine's Day is to involve her in the planning process. Planning a special Valentine's Day together gives you and your partner the opportunity to enjoy even more time together and to make plans which you know you will both love.

Another way to make sure your Valentine's Day with someone special is a great day is to really put a great deal of time and effort into the planning. It can be difficult to plan a truly spectacular Valentine's Day at the last minute because you are likely to run into a series of mishaps as a result of others trying to plan a great Valentine's Day for themselves. To avoid this type of problem, plan way ahead and make all necessary reservations way in advance. If you put a great deal of time into planning your Valentine's Day celebration, your partner is bound to notice. Conversely, if you try making plans at the last minute, she is likely to notice this as well and will likely feel disappointed that you didn't spend more time planning.

Consider a weekend getaway for a truly memorable Valentine's Day with someone special. A weekend getaway can be as elaborate as a long weekend on a tropical beach or a couple of days in a new city. It doesn't matter where you go or what you do as much as it matters who you are with for this trip. If you are spending time with someone you love and going to a location you will both enjoy, it is sure to be a spectacular trip. For example a couple of sports enthusiasts might love a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY while a couple who loves the outdoors may appreciate a camping trip in the mountains of CO.

If you are spending Valentine's Day with someone special, you might want to consider giving your loved one a truly unique gift. For example red roses are one of the most traditional Valentine's Day gifts but you can put a spin on this old fashioned idea. For example, if your girlfriend loves gardening you might give her a gift such as a few gardening tools and some bulbs that you can plant together in the spring. It may not seem like the most romantic gift to others but if you know it is something your loved one will cherish; it can be a great Valentine's Day gift.

Another way to spend a memorable Valentine's Day with someone special is to cook a dinner for her yourself. Many couples view Valentine's Day as a time to go out to expensive restaurants and enjoy elaborate meals but other couples enjoy staying home and enjoying a quite meal together. You can take charge of the planning and do all the cooking yourself or you can involve your girlfriend and turn the cooking into part of the date. For example if you know how to make a particularly difficult dish, you might ask your partner to help you so you can teach her the basics of how to make the dish. The two of you can spend some time preparing the meal together and then enjoy the dinner by candlelight.

Search Engine Friendly Pages

Search Engine Friendly Pages

There is no point in building a website unless there are visitors coming in. A major source of traffic for most sites on the Internet is search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Altavista and so on. Hence, by designing a search engine friendly site, you will be able to rank easily in search engines and obtain more visitors.

Major search engines use programs called crawlers or robots to index websites to list on their search result pages. They follow links to a page, reads the content of the page and record it in their own database, pulling up the listing as people search for it.

If you want to make your site indexed easily, you should avoid using frames on your website. Frames will only confuse search engine robots and they might even abandon your site because of that. Moreover, frames make it difficult for users to bookmark a specific page on your site without using long, complicated scripts.

Do not present important information in Flash movies or in images. Search engine robots can only read text on your source code so if you present important words in Flash movies and images rather than textual form, your search engine ranking will be affected dramatically.

Use meta tags accordingly on each and every page of your site so that search engine robots know at first glance what that particular page is about and whether or not to index it. By using meta tags, you are making the search engine robot's job easier so they will crawl and index your site more frequently.

Stop using wrong HTML tags like <font> to style your page. Use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) instead because they are more effective and efficient. By using CSS, you can eliminate redundant HTML tags and make your pages much lighter and faster to load.

Protect Homes From Intruders

Protect Homes From Intruders

SAFETY AT YOUR FRONT DOOR
1. Never automatically open your front door. Make sure you know your caller's identity before admitting him.
2. If the person at your door is a stranger, ask for identification to be passed under
the door. If he is unable to do this, do not admit him.
3. It is advisable to have a wide angle viewer (peep-hole) in the door so that you can check a person's identity without unlocking your door.

HOME SAFETY

1. All doors in your home leading to the outside should have deadbolt locks.
2. When away at night, leave a light burning,
3. Do not leave a key over a door or under al mat.
The single lock on a garage door is inadequate to keep intruders from prying up
the opposite side and crawling in. Use a padlock. But never leave it unlocked.
This is an invitation to have the padlock removed so that a key can be made,
and the lock returned to its position. Later, the burglar returns when no one is
home and enters at his leisure, using "his" key.
S. Mark your valuables and keep an accurate record of all most valuable
possessions.

When leaving on a trip:

A. Stop all deliveries.
B. Connect a light to a timer.
C. Notify the police and have a neighbor check your home periodically.
D. Have someone maintain your lawn. Call a concerned neighbor. If you see a suspicious person, car or situation, contact the police.

SAFETY FOR THE APARTMENT DWELLER

1. If you live in an apartment building with an intercom system to the front door, make sure the landlord keeps it in operating order.
2. Never admit anyone unless you are expecting him or know him.
3. Never admit anyone to the building who is there to see another tenant or to deliver something to another apartment.
4. Anyone asking admission so that he can do some work for another tenant should not be admitted, but should be referred to the building manager.
5. If you see someone in your building who looks out of place or is acting suspiciously, contact the police.

How Much Can You Sue For in a Wrongful Death Case?

How Much Can You Sue For in a Wrongful Death Case?

Negligent acts, failures to act, and deliberate conduct sometimes lead to injures so severe that the victim does not survive can be classified as “wrongful death.”

Seeking Justice for Your Loved One’s Death

Wrongful death is the most serious claim the Clauson Law Firm handles. The loss of life due to the negligence of another person is a tragedy that could have been avoided if only the wrongdoer acted with appropriate care.

Unlike other claims where a financial loss or property damage can be made right by the insurance company writing a check, no amount of money can compensate a spouse, a child, or a parent for the unnecessary death of their loved one. The only recourse we have to seek justice for wrongful death is to file a lawsuit seeking financial restitution from the person responsible for the death.

How much can you sue for? – North Carolina does not limit the amount

Every state has its laws regarding how wrongful death claims are adjudicated. In North Carolina, there are statutory rules that apply to all claims and lawsuits filed to recover compensation from the negligent or reckless party.

North Carolina has no cap on the amount you can recover in a wrongful death claim. The size of any settlement or money judgment is determined by all the facts and circumstances of the individual case.

How is the size of a wrongful death settlement determined?

The amount of a wrongful death settlement or a jury verdict is based on how these factors apply to the injury and death of your loved one.`

  • expenses for medical care, treatment, and hospitalization
  • the pain and suffering experienced by the decedent
  • funeral expenses
  • the monetary value of the decedent to the person(s) entitled to receive the settlement proceeds
  • including the lost net income of the person who died
  • value of the lost services, protection, care, and assistance of the decedent, whether voluntary or obligatory to the person(s) entitled to receive the settlement proceeds.
  • value of the loss of the decedent’s society, companionship, comfort, guidance, and advice to the person(s) entitled to receive the settlement proceeds
  • punitive damages the decedent could have recovered for the injury if they survived, and for their death, if caused through malice or willful or wanton conduct.

How much time do you have to sue before it’s too late?

The statute of limitation for a wrongful death claim in North Carolina is two years from the person’s death. But the statute of limitation for a personal injury lawsuit is three years.

That means that if the victim dies more than 12 months after suffering the injury that ultimately causes their death, the statute of limitation for the personal injury could run out before the wrongful death statute does. If the time runs out for a personal injury suit before the time to sue for wrongful death, then you are barred from filing the death claim, even if it’s less than two years from the date of death.

Sound complicated? That’s why the Clauson Law Firm’s experience is so valuable as your North Carolina wrongful death attorney. Our team of skilled lawyers, investigators, paralegals, and support staff are experts dealing with these complicated issues and exercising their professional judgment to protect you from missing deadlines or assessing your own family’s claims.

How can Contributory Negligence interfere with winning compensation?

North Carolina follows the legal theory called “Contributory Negligence.” Large insurance companies often try to block a plaintiff’s claim.

Under the contributory negligence law, if the decedent was negligent in the least during the incident leading to their injury or death, then no compensation or recovery can be obtained by suit against the party primarily responsible for the victim’s injuries.

The Clauson Law Firm team knows how to confront such an argument and how to protect your case from being harmed by an unfair claim that your family member contributed negligence to their injury and death.

There is also an exception to the rule. If the primary wrongdoer had the “last clear chance” to prevent the event causing the victim’s injury, then the decedent’s negligence may not be used to defeat the wrongful death claim. As you can seeBusiness Management Articles, it takes a deep understanding of the applicable law to bring your claim through the array of defenses insurance company lawyers will use to avoid compensating those family members who lost their loved ones.

OWN SILVER

#silver #investing #gold #money

The iconic silver dollar refers to a variety of historic and collectible coins made primarily from silver, often associated with the U.S. Mint. These coins are highly valued by collectors and investors due to their silver content, rarity, and historical significance. Here’s an overview of the most notable types:

1. Morgan Silver Dollar (1878–1921)
   - Designer: George T. Morgan
   - Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper
   - Weight: 26.73 grams (0.77344 troy ounces of silver)
Description: One of the most famous and recognizable U.S. coins, the Morgan Dollar features Lady Liberty on the obverse and an eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse. It was minted between 1878 and 1904, and again in 1921.
   - Historical Significance: These coins were issued following the passage of the Bland-Allison Act, which required the U.S. Treasury to purchase large amounts of silver and mint it into dollars.
   - Collectibility: Morgan Dollars are popular among collectors for their beauty, history, and the variety of mint marks (such as "CC" for Carson City) that offer opportunities for specialized collections.

2. Peace Silver Dollar (1921–1935)
   - Designer: Anthony de Francisci
   - Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper
   - Weight: 26.73 grams (0.77344 troy ounces of silver)
   - Description: Issued after World War I to symbolize peace, the Peace Dollar features a serene Lady Liberty with a radiant crown on the obverse and a perched eagle on the reverse.
   - Historical Significance
: It was minted to celebrate the peace following the end of World War I. The Peace Dollar replaced the Morgan Dollar as the standard U.S. silver dollar.
   - Collectibility: The 1921 high-relief Peace Dollar is particularly sought after, along with certain rare years and mintmarks.

3. Trade Dollar (1873–1885)
   - Designer: William Barber
   - Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper
   - Weight: 27.22 grams (0.7874 troy ounces of silver)
   - Description: Created specifically for trade with Asia, the Trade Dollar features an image of Lady Liberty seated on bales of goods on the obverse, symbolizing commerce.
   - Historical Significance: The Trade Dollar was minted to compete with other large silver coins in international markets, particularly in China.
   - Collectibility: These coins are rare and highly collectible, especially in uncirculated condition or with certain mint marks.

4. American Silver Eagle (1986–present)
   - Designer: Adolph A. Weinman (obverse) and John Mercanti (reverse)
   - Composition: 99.9% pure silver
   - Weight: 31.1 grams (1 troy ounce of silver)
   - Description: The Silver Eagle features the iconic "Walking Liberty" design on the obverse, with a heraldic eagle and shield on the reverse.
   - Historical Significance: The Silver Eagle is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and is widely used for investment purposes.
   - Collectibility: While primarily intended as a bullion coin, special proof versions and certain years have become popular among collectors.

Collecting and Investing in Silver Dollars
   - Historical Value: Silver dollars, particularly Morgan and Peace dollars, are treasured for their connection to U.S. history, including the settlement of the West, the Gilded Age, and post-WWI peace.
   - Silver Content: Many silver dollars have intrinsic value due to their silver content, which adds to their appeal among both collectors and investors.
   - Mint Marks: Certain mint marks (like "CC" for Carson City or "S" for San Francisco) can significantly increase a coin’s value, as some mints produced fewer coins than others.
   - Grading: The condition or "grade" of a coin plays a major role in its value. Uncirculated coins in mint condition can command much higher prices.

The silver dollar stands as a symbol of American heritage, both as a piece of history and a valuable asset for those interested in collecting or investing in precious metals.

LOWER YOUR ELECTRIC BILL

GO SOLAR

#solar #ev #energy

Switching to solar energy is an excellent way to lower your electric bill and reduce your carbon footprint. Here’s a breakdown of how going solar can help you save on energy costs:

1. Reduce Monthly Electricity Bills
   - Solar Panels Generate Free Electricity: Once installed, solar panels convert sunlight into electricity for your home. This reduces the amount of electricity you need to purchase from the grid, potentially lowering your bill significantly or even eliminating it.
   - Net Metering: Many areas offer net metering programs, where excess electricity generated by your solar panels is sent back to the grid. You receive credits for this, which can offset costs when your solar system isn't generating enough power, such as at night.

2. Federal and State Incentives
   - Federal Solar Tax Credit: The U.S. federal government offers a tax credit, known as the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which allows you to deduct a percentage of your solar installation cost from your federal taxes.
   - State and Local Rebates: Many states, cities, and utility companies offer additional rebates, tax credits, and other incentives that can reduce the upfront cost of going solar.

3. Increase Home Value
   - Higher Property Value: Homes with solar panel systems are often valued higher, and they tend to sell faster than homes without solar. Buyers appreciate the long-term savings and sustainability benefits that come with a solar-powered home.

4. Energy Independence
   - Stable Energy Costs: By generating your own electricity, you're less affected by rising utility rates. Solar systems have a lifespan of 25-30 years, providing you with long-term stability.
   - Battery Storage: Solar battery systems (such as Tesla Powerwall) allow you to store excess energy produced during the day, so you can use it at night or during power outages.

5. Environmentally Friendly
   - **Reduce Carbon Footprint**: Solar power is a clean, renewable energy source. By switching to solar, you reduce your reliance on fossil fuels, which helps combat climate change and reduce pollution.

6. Flexible Financing Options
   - **Solar Loans**: Many banks and solar companies offer loans that allow you to finance your solar system with low-interest rates, often allowing you to pay less each month than you would for traditional electricity.
   - **Leasing and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)**: Some companies offer solar leases or PPAs, where you pay a monthly fee or buy the energy at a set rate without needing to purchase the system upfront.

### 7. **Maintenance and Warranties**
   - **Low Maintenance Costs**: Solar panels require little maintenance, typically needing only occasional cleaning. Most systems come with long-term warranties (20–25 years) that cover any major repairs or replacements.

Switching to solar is a long-term investment that can lead to significant savings on your electric bill, increase your home’s value, and provide environmental benefits. With the various incentives and financing options available, going solar is more accessible and cost-effective than ever.

Superfoods are a group of nutrient-rich foods that are believed to be particularly beneficial for human health. These foods are often rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other beneficial compounds that can support overall health and wellness. Examples of superfoods include leafy green vegetables, berries, nuts and seeds, fatty fish, and certain grains.

While many superfoods have been studied extensively and are recognized for their health benefits, it's important to note that no single food or nutrient can provide all the nutrients our bodies need for optimal health. A balanced and varied diet that includes a variety of whole foods is the best way to support overall health and wellness.
