The New Minneapolis Gas Lighting

The New Minneapolis Gas Lighting:

A couple of weeks ago I.C.E. tried to arrest an ILLEGAL in Minneapolis. The guy had his Son [allegedly his Son - Ya never know]. When I.C.E. approached him he ran leaving his 'Son' behind. So, you have a lone 5 year old in freezing cold. So, 'I.C.E.' put the lone kid in a car, took him to McDonald's, and attempted to take the child to the Mother. She wouldn't take him!!!

Now, all the Democrats are saying "I.C.E. is kidnapping 5 year olds." What were they supposed to do, leave the kid on the streets? They don't blame Biden for letting 20 Million ILLEGALS in. They don't name the Father for leaving his Son behind. And they don't blame the Mother for not taking her own Son.

Some of you will be voting for a Democrat. I would vote for my 3 Legged Dog "Charlie" before I ever again vote for anyone with a (D) behind their name.

The Great Betrayal: How Progressive Narratives Abandon Law, Order, and Innocence

A recent incident in Minneapolis serves as a stark, distilled example of the moral and logical bankruptcy that now defines the modern progressive left. According to reports, ICE agents attempted to arrest an illegal immigrant. The man, upon their approach, chose to flee, abandoning a young child—allegedly his son—in the freezing cold. Faced with this act of profound parental negligence, the agents did what any reasonable person with a shred of decency would do: they secured the child, provided warmth and comfort, and attempted to deliver him to his mother. Astonishingly, the mother refused to take her own son.

The facts are clear. The chain of responsibility is unambiguous. First, a man chose to violate our sovereign laws, then chose to flee authorities, and then chose to desert a vulnerable child. Second, a mother, when presented with her offspring, chose rejection. Finally, ICE agents, sworn to enforce the law, chose compassion and duty in a chaotic situation, ensuring a five-year-old was not left to fend for himself on a winter street.

Yet, in the face of this sequence, what is the Democratic response? Not condemnation of the parents’ shocking choices. Not gratitude for agents exercising sound judgment and humanity. Instead, the rallying cry is that “ICE is kidnapping five-year-olds.”

This is more than mere political spin; it is a deliberate and dangerous act of cultural gaslighting. It is a strategy that systematically inverts reality, laundering individual irresponsibility and criminality into a narrative of systemic victimhood, while demonizing the very institutions that stand between civilization and chaos. The goal is not to solve problems, but to exploit them for political gain, and in doing so, they commit a three-fold betrayal.

First, they betray the rule of law. A nation without borders is not a nation. The individual at the center of this story was not a “migrant” or an “asylum seeker” in this moment; he was a fugitive from U.S. law. By immediately reframing the enforcement of that law as the primary offense, Democrats signal that laws are optional, that sovereignty is negotiable, and that the consequences of breaking laws—even the abandonment of a child—are the fault of those who uphold them, not those who break them. This erodes the foundational covenant of our republic.

Second, they betray personal responsibility. The conservative ethos rests on the principle that free individuals are accountable for their choices. The father chose to run. The mother chose to refuse her child. These are catastrophic moral failures. Yet the progressive narrative absolves them entirely, transferring all blame to the federal agents who cleaned up the mess these choices created. This creates a culture of excuse-making, where consequences are forever outsourced to society, to the government, or to “systemic” forces, eviscerating the personal virtue necessary for a free society to function.

Third, and most egregiously, they betray the innocent. The true victim here is the five-year-old child, used as a pawn by his parents and now as a prop by cynical politicians. The left’s outrage is not directed at the adults who failed him but at the agents who fed him and sought him shelter. Their alleged compassion is a selective performance, extending to those who break our laws while coldly ignoring the most vulnerable casualty left in the wake of lawlessness. What about the child’s right to safety, stability, and parents who will not desert him? That concern is conspicuously absent from their hashtags and press releases.

This incident is a microcosm of the broader Democratic platform under the Biden administration: open borders, non-enforcement, the dismissal of agency, and the relentless scapegoating of authority figures from police officers to immigration agents. As the post author rightly notes, they do not blame an administration whose policies incentivize such dangerous journeys and situations. They will not name the failing parents. Their moral calculus is perverse and politically driven.

When the choice is between upholding order and protecting innocence, or leveraging chaos for power, the modern left consistently chooses the latter. Voting for such a party is not merely a political alternative; it is an endorsement of this inverted moral universe. As the author concludes, principle demands that we look beyond the “(D)” and seek representatives who will unequivocally side with law, with responsibility, and with the truly defenseless—even if that means looking to other options altogether. The safety of our communities and the integrity of our nation depend on it.
