Bill Cosby made a deal. If he told what happened he wouldn't go to jail. They charged, indicted, and sent him to jail. They broke the deal, so Bill Cosby walks free.
I'm sure public pressures made the D.A. back out of the deal, but damn, it was all sloppy.
