Today is August 16th 2024. Kamala Harris is talking about giving homes to low income citizens. Bill Clinton gave a campaign speech on September 12th, 1992 where he suggested a plan to give home ownership to low income citizens. I was in Real Estate school then ... learning how to 'Qualify' people. I was in the LBC during the Bush years when it all hit the fan. By then I had met people who worked in the home loan industry. They had sour faces when it all blew up.

If you Google 'who is responsible for the Housing Crisis/Credit Crunch' you may find a piece by TIME MAGAZINE. BILL CLINTON is #1 and George W. Bush is around #25. Bush ramped up the program.

You cannot give someone something subsidized by the government and think it can be sustained.
